GDP - MY STORY

Born in Venice in 1985 as the youngest of seven siblings he holds a passion for his city, surrounded by water and crossed every day by thousands of different boats. In 2004 he participated in a training program for the construction of wooden boats and in 2009 he qualified with the title of shipwright in the Italian register of shipbuilders.

CONSTRUCTION

The shipyard is located in the harboural area of Venice, a short distance from the city’s busiest waterways. A young team comprising carpenters, painters, mechanics and electricians is dedicated to the restoration and construction of wooden boats in all its different parts, coordinated by a technical office competent for design and customer service.

MY PROJECTS

GDP OPEN SPORT 650

The lines of this 6.50 m long boat are inspired by the designs of American Fishermans characterized by high and angled bows and a lower stern to facilitate fishing activities. Mahogany structure, marine plywood planking, teak decking make it a solid and elegant boat for those who do not want to go unnoticed.

GDP OPEN CLASSIC 650

6.50 meters long and 2.10 meters wide entirely built in mahogany and teak wood, a classic line with a retro hint, favoured by the latest made in Italy yacht brands. The sleek bow and the gentle hull towards the stern are the perfect features for those who want to enjoy the Venice lagoon and its beautiful islands’ waterways.

A PEEK INTO THE FUTURE

Sustainability and respect for the marine environment are the two drivers in the construction of this light and versatile boat, powered by a silent, zero-emission electric outboard engine. Preserving the environment today means leaving a better future to our children.

DESIGNING
TOGETHER

Very often our clients come to our studio with a photo of a boat and a dream, crafting a wooden one. Our task is to accompany the customer, step by step, towards the realization of that dream and see the long-desired boat leaving the doors of the shipyard. From design to reality through the hands of our best craftsmen.

ACCESSIBILITY

The sea is a healthy environment rich in beneficial properties for our body, which is why we want to grant everyone an opportunity to enjoy a moment of pleasure on board.

This boat is characterized by a lifting platform that, by raising up to the level of the gunwale, facilitates the entry of the wheelchair on board.  Returning to its resting position, the platform is leveled to the decking. In this way, any guest in a wheelchair can move around the boat and get behind the wheel.
